Building Resilient Organizations
A resilient and trauma-informed community depends on the support not just of individual Champions, but of resilient and supportive organizations and institutions. This requires a hard look at an organization's internal policies and practices to find opportunities for becoming more trauma-informed. |
It is through the practices of organizations, agencies, institutions, and coalitions that RTIC principles reach the community. With the commitment of in-house Champions and support of organizational leadership, organizations are in a position to influence how members of our community learn, grow, meet their needs, receive care and support, and become resilient. The first step for any organization is to ensure that their internal practices and policies are trauma-informed, supportive of their staff and constituents, and resilience-building.
