“There is no greater power than a community discovering what it cares about. Ask “What is possible?” not “What’s wrong?”
– Margaret Wheatley
We all have an important role in building a Resilient and Trauma Informed Community, but we can not do this alone. Only through a Collective Impact approach can our community achieve big changes. Collective Impact includes the commitment of partners representing different community sectors to a common agenda for solving a complex social problem.
Resilient and Trauma Informed Community is about working alongside community partners and our general public to “Find the Possible” in order to build a community that is connected, healthy and resilient.
The plan for building a Resilient and Trauma-Informed Community includes four phases of implementation. Phases 1 and 2 represent work within the Foundation of the Kaleidoscope. Phases 3 and 4 represent work within a community’s commitment to Disrupt the Cycle, Strengthen Resilience and Restore Lives.
