Communities across La Crosse County, Wisconsin, are working together to be more connected, healthy, and resilient. In this Collective Impact effort, we invite you to learn more about how RTIC works and what role you can play.
What is RTIC?
Resilient and Trauma-Informed Community (RTIC) is a framework adopted by our network of partners to build a community that is connected, healthy, and resilient. By building resilience and being more trauma-informed as a community, together we can address the adverse effects of trauma, toxic stress, and Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs).
The Kaleidoscope of Change RTIC Framework consists of four Commitments that we make to our community:
Building a Foundation Creating common language and understanding through trainings, education, and establishing a network of community Champions. Disrupting the Cycle Reduce the risks related to childhood exposure to trauma through prevention and early intervention. Strengthening Resilience Enhancing protective factors to help people bounce back and reduce the risk of poor health outcomes resulting from trauma and ACE exposure. Restoring Lives Supporting those who are healing or in recovery to help rebuild lives, restore hope, and create a buffer against future traumas. |
