Resilient Community Sessions
Community members regularly convene to learn about what it means to be a Resilient and Trauma-Informed Community.
Foundation Sessions
are offered to support the individual to learn more about Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) and their impact on the health and well being of our community. We also learn about the role of resilience and how a trauma-informed approach can make all the difference in the world. |
Foundation of ResilienceThe child may not remember. But the body remembers. Adverse childhood experiences (ACEs), toxic stress and trauma can trigger hormones that wreak havoc on brains and bodies, putting people at a greater risk for disease, homelessness, prison time, mental health challenges and early death. The documentary “Resilience” chronicles the dawn of a movement that is determined to build a community response to trauma and strengthen resilience.

Foundation of EmpathyBecoming a resilient and trauma-informed community is more than just something we do at work or home. It’s an intentional focus on who we are. Foundation of Empathy personalizes the Resilient and Trauma-Informed Community Framework by reflecting on our assumptions, beliefs, and emotions surrounding the relationships we have with others.
